Please join the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta as we celebrate another successful year at our annual Holiday Luncheon on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ansley Golf Club in Midtown.

This year's speaker, Major Todd Hawks, The Salvation Army's Metro Atlanta Area Commander, will address the importance of corporate engagement and support - particularly around the holidays.

In addition to our program and speaker, we'll award the Linda Woodworth Award to the CVC of Atlanta's Volunteer of the Year, and we'll participate in a group service project.

This year's service project benefits the United Way of Greater Atlanta's Shoebox Project. CVC of Atlanta Holiday Luncheon guests are challenged to bring at LEAST one decorated, stocked shoebox. Shoeboxes should have removable lids and be decorated as creatively as possible. There will be prizes awarded for the most creative shoebox designs, so get crafty! Participants may include any/all of the items below in their shoeboxes:

Travel-size shampoo
Deodorant
Travel-size soap
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Travel-size lotion
Hair comb/brush
Sun protector
Lip balm
Adhesive bandages
Hand towels
Antibiotic ointment
Warm socks
Tampons
Panty liners
Travel-size water bottles
Rain ponchos
Zipper storage bags
Prepaid phone cards

United Way cannot accept: food, sewing kits, used or pre-opened items, razors or alcohol-based mouthwash.
