We are pleased to announce that we have rescheduled the CVC's July 20 program for Wednesday, August 17. Please read on for program details.
The work of community relations and corporate social responsibility (CSR) professionals is always evolving. Continuing education is essential in order to ensure a deep understanding of community challenges and to keep up to speed with who is doing what in our city. Equally important is cultivating relationships, so that you have the network you need to get things done and to support Metro Atlanta's most pressing challenges. How do you accomplish all of this AND think about your own personal growth and development? Why through leadership training programs, of course!
Please join us for a Lunch & Learn: Leveraging Leadership Programs for Professional Development on Wednesday, August 17 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bearings Bike Works in Atlanta's Adair Park neighborhood. CVC member and Alston & Bird LLP Director of Pro Bono and Community Service, Cheryl Naja, will walk us through several of Atlanta's most highly respected leadership opportunities and why they matter to developing professionals. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to share about your favorite experiences as well! After all, we are all in this together and the best thing about CVC membership is peer-to-peer sharing.
Lunch will be provided by the CVC, so please let us know if you have dietary restrictions when you register.
Please note: We are also celebrating service by bringing new and gently used bikes and bike-gear (think helmets, gloves, new tire tubes, tire changing tools, etc) to donate to Bearings Bike Works in support of their mission. You are invited to help out if you are able!
This program is appropriate for professionals of all skill levels and experience. CVC members may feel free to bring colleagues to this members-only program. We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing (Even shorts and tennis shoes, if your work day allows!), as we will have the opportunity to tour Bearings Bike Shop and learn more about their mission during the program.
