Join the CVC for a special fall program at the historic Oakland Cemetery, a place where Atlanta's past and present intertwine. This event will explore the legacy of individuals who shaped the city through their vision and philanthropy, all while surrounded by the cemetery's stunning Victorian-era gardens.
The program, led by Director of Gardens Abra Lee and horticulture expert Erica Glasener, will provide a unique perspective on the cemetery's history, focusing on its role as a final resting place for many of Atlanta's most influential citizens. Our tour will weave through the grounds, highlighting the stories of those who contributed to the city's growth, arts, and civil rights.
We look forward to an insightful and memorable experience as we honor the change makers who are resting in philanthropy at Oakland Cemetery. Casual clothing is welcome, and you may even consider wearing your company volunteer t-shirt! Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle. This event will take place rain or shine as long as conditions are safe. In the event that we have rain, please be sure to bring an umbrella and rain coat.
We look forward to seeing you at Oakland!
